JOURNAL

Philosophical Studies in Education began in 1968 as published proceedings of the OVPES annual conference. It was renamed PSIE in 1976 and is an indexed, peer-reviewed scholarly journal. All papers in PSIE undergo a peer-review process independently of the annual conference. The journal regularly features the work of leading scholars in the field and remains a rich outlet for the treatment of philosophical problems in education.

All articles and editorials appearing in Philosophical Studies in Education are the expressions and viewpoints of the particular writers and do not necessarily represent Philosophical Studies in Education or the Ohio Valley Philosophy of Education Society.

Special Issue: Interrogating Postdigital Educational Conditions

We are excited to announce a call for proposals for a special issue of Philosophical Studies in Education. This is a first for our journal, and coincides with the 50th anniversary of PSIE. There will be a pre-conference workshop for the accepted proposals, and accepted papers will be published in a special issue of PSIE, guest edited by Morgan Anderson and Graham B. Slater. To be clear, the special issue will be published in addition to and separate from our annual issue of PSIE, which will also be published this year. Click below on "learn more" to see the full call.

Papers received on or before December 1 will be considered for publication by an editorial review board, consisting of the Editor and Contributing Editor of Philosophical Studies in Education and the Program Committee of the Ohio Valley Philosophy of Education Society, and will make final decisions based on double-blind review about articles to be included in the journal.
