We are excited to announce that Dr. Megan Laverty, Associate Professor of Philosophy and Education at Teachers College Columbia, has agreed to be the Phil Smith Lecturer for OVPES 2017. Dr. Laverty is respected figure in the philosophy of education, having published on topics as diverse as dialogue, listening, Iris Murdoch, Jean Jaques Rousseau and the German Bildungsroman.
