The Ohio Valley Philosophy of Education Society is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the upcoming OVPES/GSCOPE 2017 conference. The conference will take place on the beautiful grounds of the University of St. Mary of the Lake in Mundelein, Illinois (30 minutes from Chicago) on October 13-15, 2017. The early bird registration deadline is September 1st, 2017. You can register after this date, but registration fees will increase by $10. We expect to fill the full vacancy allotment at the conference location, so be sure to register well before September 1st in order to secure the room of your choice. Please note that room and conference prices favor two-night stays and double room choices.
OVPES 2017 will be kicking off at 3pm on Friday, October 13th with a “Panel on Preparing for the Job Market” for graduate students and a parallel panel hosted by the John Dewey Society. All attendees are highly encouraged to attend one of these two events. After the two panels, there will be a Graduate Student Keynote Presentation and common dinner, followed by a Welcome Reception at 8pm. The conference will end with a business meeting from 12 to 1pm on Sunday, October 15th.
